With the decline of traditional advertising like television and print, it is getting harder and harder to find effective ways to attract consumer attention.  As a result, more and more businesses are moving marketing dollars toward online marketing and social networking tools.  We have a video on the power of social media on our Xstreme Social home page, which I recommend you take 5 minutes and watch.  One of those, Facebook, can be a high-effective, virtually cost-free solution.

Why Facebook?

Facebook, as you probably know or should, is the world's largest social network, with over 500 million active users - more than the entire population of the United States.  In fact, so many people, that if Facebook were a country, it would be the 3rd largest in the world. 

Another important fact is that people visit/use Facebook regularly.  Over 50% of all users log into Facebook every day.  According to Compete Data from December 2009, thirteen percent of all Web traffic to major portals - AOL, MSN and Yahoo! - comes from Facebook - more than even Google.

Users have come to rely on Facebook to stay connected.  If you have a Web presence, it should be connected in some way to Facebook.
