Our Social Media tip this week is on the popular platform LinkedIn. More and more business people are gravitating to this platform to gain new business connections and find leads.
When setting up your profile, there is an area where your web site is displayed. On most everyone's profile I see My
Website or My Blog, with a hidden link to these URLs. Instead of selecting My Website, etc., from the drop down selet Other. This will let you type in a name for the link which would, in most cases, be your company name and then the URL to link to for your website.
When visitors access your profile they will now see the name of your company, blog, etc. instead of My Website. Much better for search and branding.
