2007 E-Mail Setup
Click on Tools then Account Settings

In the new box that opens, make sure the E-mail tab is selected and click the New button below that.

In the new window that opens, select the first button – Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP or HTTP. Click Next at the bottom of the page.

In the next window, put a check in the box to manually configure and click Next.

On the next screen, select Internet E-Mail and click Next.

On the next screen, fill in your email account information. Your user name will always be your full email address, your incoming and outgoing mail server will always be the same and will be mail.yourcompanydomainname.com (org, etc.) . The account type will always be POP3. When you have completed this information, click the More Settings button at the bottom right of the screen.

In the new window that opens, fill in this information. This is for your reference. The Mail Account can be whatever you want to refer to this account as in the list of mail accounts on the main email screen. The user information is self explanatory. Once this is complete, click on the Outgoing Server tab.

Put a check in the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Click ok.

You are now back to the Account Settings screen. Click on the Test Account Settings button.

If everything is set up correctly, each function will have a green check next to it.

Click Close to take you back to the account settings screen. Once back to this screen, click Next at the bottom of the screen.

You will then be congratulated for completing the setup. Click Finish.

That completes your email setup. All emails for this account will go to the Inbox in Outlook. |
